Adding a Lanyard to your pocket knife allows you to personalise it (perhaps with a custom bead), provides additional grip and can be used to pull it from your pocket.
Shown here are two Lanyards with a set of four snake knots, the bead, and then a diamond or ‘lanyard’ knot. (In these, the cord was 60cm long and it is just possible to tie this set of knots.)
